She basically just leaves him be because he becomes agitated and angry. He's not violent YET. He's very stubborn. Has refused medication, doctors visits. (They just want to take his money ). I'm looking for those of you that have this problem and any ideas on how to handle it.
Check and see if you can get the medication in liquid form. It's easier to put in their drink.
My parents are new memory care residents. What types of activities are your loved ones involved in that are enjoyable and stimulating?

Serves no purpose to tell them.
It is simply another hurt in the this journey of the lost.
No Ma'am.
My mom has fallen two times (hemotoma and bruising first fall and fractured spine and sacrum in second fall). Wondering if memory care must report this even though they didn't report her injuries to me.

He used to be a very clean, meticulous person...Now, he will not bathe or wash..No matter how hard I try he resists..Won't even soak in the tub, as I run water and put body wash in it, in case he enjoys a good soak..He locks the bathroom door and will not let me in..Does not even change his skivvies..And when I tell him he smells like a homeless man, he smiles...
I have gone to sponge baths. He argues and sometimes swears, but I ignore him and get it done. He thinks deodorant is ridiculous but he lets me put it on. When I’m done getting him dressed, he goes… read more
