My mom has fallen two times (hemotoma and bruising first fall and fractured spine and sacrum in second fall). Wondering if memory care must report this even though they didn't report her injuries to me.

@A myALZteam Member: You're welcome. After thinking about this some more, I'm wondering what explanation the facility is giving you, as to WHY they didn't call you. Are you listed as your mother's contact? Are you her Power of Attorney or Healthcare Proxy? (In CA, I think it's a Power of Attorney for Healthcare.) If you're not either of those things, then you might want to make that happen.

I want to give you one more resource link. Every state has an Ombudsman, who I think may be very helpful in your particular situation.

There are reporting requirements for licensed facilities, in every state. In California they are licensed by the Department of Social Services. Here's a link to the official information:
