Aricept Cause Upset Stomach?
A myALZteam Member asked a question đź’

Moms been complaining of upset stomach for about a week now. Shes been on aricept for a little over a month. Just last week her dose went up to 10mg. I'm wondering if this could be the cause. I haven't had a chance to read the side affects. She hasn't eaten a whole lot besides soup. Was gonna give a call to the doc, but thought I'd ask of anyone else had experienced this.

A myALZteam Member asked a question đź’

My mom has been in declining memory health for years but last year began having vascular strokes, at least 3 in the past year. She’s anxious, no longer able to walk and getting mean. She also has frequent hallucinations as is asking about family that has passed. My brother and I are her caregivers amend are seeing weekly declines. She’s in hospice care and on Seroquel, Alprazolam and they want to start Haldol.

A myALZteam Member asked a question đź’

Maybe this question was posted prior to my joining this site & if so, please forgive
My husband was diagnosed in 2012, & now needs me for everything. He sometimes gets angry if I leave the room. I don't feel like a person anymore. I don't get to be just me anymore. I don't get to do the things some of the things I used to enjoy. Sometimes I feel resentful, & angry at this disease. Sometimes I am angry at his children for not helping out even though I know in my heart they are busy with… read more

Medical Complaints
A myALZteam Member asked a question đź’

How to handle medical complaints that may be real or imaginary. Beyond being checked by PCP and Specialists and multiple hospitalizations, what are solutions to the repetitive complaints like back pain, ear pain, leg pain, constipation, banging/music in the head. These have all been addressed, treated and still they come up almost like a cycle from one thing to the next. Each one lasting a few months and then on to the next complaint. How can we get my Mother-in-law off topic?

A myALZteam Member asked a question đź’

I'm new to myALZteam. In my profile it asks me to "Add Provider". What are you referring to? My PC, my dad's PC? I don't think he sees a Neurologist. (I'll have to check- seems like he should be) !

How Do You Help Your Spouse Understand Your Caregiver Stress And Demands?
A myALZteam Member asked a question đź’

My husband is really good with my Mum (83); he makes her laugh, sometimes takes over in answering the every-other-minute repetitive questions and now travels with me once a year to my parents’ winter home so we can take Mum away for a few days to give my Dad a break. I am very grateful for this help. However, this time, he got very frustrated with me for “trying to over-control everything” and I am pretty angry at the lack of empathy and support I experienced. When away with my Mum, I have to… read more
