79 years old; at home with me (and caregiver help). A fall in our driveway before Thanksgiving, broken femur, surgery, hospital stay, Skilled Nursing stay, and finally home - all have seriously affected cognition level. He no longer can walk. In ny opinion, my wife truly has not accepted everything that comes with the diagnosis. She talked about planning for the future (outside of her Alzheimer's future). Also, she just told me she does not want to go to the upcoming Alzheimer's walk because all they do there is talk about Alzheimer's.

She basically just leaves him be because he becomes agitated and angry. He's not violent YET. He's very stubborn. Has refused medication, doctors visits. (They just want to take his money ). I'm looking for those of you that have this problem and any ideas on how to handle it.
Check and see if you can get the medication in liquid form. It's easier to put in their drink.
