Is It Common To Hire 1x1 Private Care In Addition To The Cost Of Having Their Loved One In Memory Care?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

Memory care facilities advertise that they can take care of our loved ones, even to their dying day. But anyone who has a loved one in memory care, knows that, other than providing meals for them, administering their meds, and keeping them in a safe (locked) environment, there’s very limited “caring”. This works ok for the early stages of dementia. Not so much, as the disease progresses. I Am Placing My Husband Of 48 Years In An AL For 6 Days- My Much Needed Rest. Any Ideas On What And When To Tell Him?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

He is still angry about not driving or riding his dirt bike. Last year he had a horrible accident in the woods, and he still believes he can do everything he used to do. He comes to work with me as the family business was his before I bought out his partner and sold the shares to our Son, which has been at business 15 years anyway. There are so many pieces here and the bottom line is I am going out of town and he cannot be alone.... Any ideas?
