And that visiting as often as you wish, can then be as a wife and not a caregiver. PLUS (and that’s a big plus) you can take a day or two for yourself, or maybe even make time to travel or spend a few days with family or friends.

Prayers for you both

My husband has officially been diagnosed (via MRI and lumber puncture) 8 years ago. After diagnosis he started to write exquisite poetry. Some have been published. in the last 8 months his memory has declined and now he has spiralled severely though he is physically fit. He was in a geriatric/ psych ward for over 3 months while the social worker and I searched for a memory facility that took Medicaid. We finally found a good one and he will be moving in there in approximately 2 weeks. I am so relieved that I will be able to finally go visit him as often as I wish. He is 73 years old.
