I think our responsibilities for our loved ones are kind of basic, keep them fed, clean and safe and to the best of our abilities make them feel loved.
Many times, trying to reason with them or correcting them starts a spiraling conversation that only upsets them. It’s near impossible to convince them that their ‘reality’ isn’t real. As long as it’s nothing that puts them in danger, I would simply try to make them comfortable, happy and secure in their own reality. Like the old saying goes… enter into their world and try to avoid the temptation to drag them into ours.
On the extreme end of things, if their reality or hallucinations become a danger… causes wandering, anger, violence, etc., there are medications that can be very helpful in calming them or reducing the anxiety that the hallucinations can bring.
Very hard thing to always know the right thing to do…. when everything else fails, just LOVE them. I believe if every decision we make, everything we try, is out of love for our loved ones…. we’ll never be wrong. 🤗

No matter what you tell her she will forget fast. I tried to keep him calm so wouldn't tell him. Don't want him reliving their death every time you tell him.

Mark, I agree completely...I always put Bill first, no matter what. Now that he is gone, I have no regrets.
