I recently placed my LO 2.5 months ago. I am happy to share that we have had such a POSITIVE outcome! He was upset the day we moved him in. I stayed away for the recommended 10 days. He is THRIVING in his new environment. He has routine, 3 GOOD meals a day plus snacks. A GREAT caring staff who truly seem to love and respect him! He is early onset (59) placed at 63. Issues prior to DX. I did tell him from time to time that I was not able to give him the care he needed or deserved and that eventually we would need to look for more care. He has socialization, which is so IMPORTANT, activities that he participates in. I pray in THANKS and GRATEFULNESS that he does so well.

My husband had developed a problem walking. So we told him they were going to work with him on that. He has fallen frequently and is in wheelchair. When he asks now about home, we say the drs want him to stay until his legs are stronger.

It really depends on how much he understands. My husband was hospitalized 8 days before going to memory care. But I told him he was going to a place where he will get better care and that I would be there as much as I can and of course I told him I love him.
I hope this helps 🌹😊

I can only hope and pray this will happen for my husband. He's only 68 but dx 10 years ago. Thank you so much for responding. It gives me hope.
