I am moving my mother from independent to assisted living on Friday. She is very aware of things, but does have moderate memory issues and can become agitated if she isn't given the time to understand every minute detail.

I’m close to being unable to live on my own now and was told by my dr it’s better to move to memory care while I can still figure out some things than to wait it will take awhile to get a new routine for her but she will do well after that god bless you on your next journey my prayers are with you both

I wish I had advice, but just know I am thinking of you. I will be doing this soon too. I'm trying to put it off until the pandemic is more under control so that I can go in the AL building with my dad to get him settled. I can't imagine doing it without supporting him on that side too in his new surroundings.

My best to you during the rough transition days. You will get through them, and your mom will settle.

Good advice as always Patty....wondering if you 've made a possible future care home choice.
