I always make sure David has some money in his wallet. It makes him feel good to buy us ice cream cones etc. But he hands the money to me to pay. Don’t think he understands amounts and change anymore🙁

My mother is also obsessed with her wallet she looks at it several times a day I don't know what she's looking for but she'll go through it take things out and look but it right back few minutes she takes it out again and looks through everything I don't know what she's looking for I try to help her find whatever she looking for but I guess I just need to let it go

My dad was the same way. I am not sure how advanced your husband’s disease is.. but we gave my dad a wallet with gift cards(Visa) that had no monetary value and told him there was money on them. Or a credit card that was no longer active. In place of real money because he would lose or misplace it.
We assured him multiple time that money has been deposited in the checking and or savings account.
It was such a struggle for my mom because he used to take care of the bills and checkbook.
My heart goes out to you. Hugs.

Mine is just like this too! She even hides it in little tissue packages. Last week we found her credit card in it. In her own mind she was sure someone stole it like everything else she hides.
