How Much Do You Pay For An Overnight Stay?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

We are using some home healthcare agencies. However, we want to use individuals working independently for overnight stays. What is the going rate for an overnight stay?

I went through an agency and was charged $250 for 24 hours of care. So that equates to $10-11/hour. The caretaker didn't really sleep in a bed but dozed on the sofa, in case my Dad started wandering. He rarely does it and then, he just gets into his recliner and eventually falls asleep again. At the time, it seemed to be very expensive, but when you calculate on an hourly basis, I guess it's not that bad.

Hi Betty Lou May, yes I am finding that the overnight rate can be $8-$10 and daycare rate $12-$15. Thank you for you input. Hope your loved one is doing well. :)

How long is a piece of string? They vary so much, but social services allowed me £12 ph for two hours respite weekly if that's any help?
