We have a life alert for my dad. It has the gps capability and it certainly helps ease the worry a little bit. If he wanders off, you can call the life alert and they can find his exact location.

I am sure there has to be an equivalent in Canada. The nice thing is that it's geared for kids, so it is simple to operate. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles and that is a good thing...

We got it thru Verizon & we love it. It is designedfor kids & is easy to use. The call clarity is wonderful & it has a GPS built in. There are several models. We got the $140 or around there ..they have less expensive models & it only added $5 a month to the plan

Paintgram@ thank you so much. I am in Canada and I know we don't have Verizon but I am going to look into getting one from Rogers or Telus. You have helped me a lot because I was not sure how clear these were and that they could track that well.
