Total shot in the dark, but in some cities the police department gives them out for free. I got the MyID tracking bracelet through the Riverside (CA) police department. I think Endevr makes it, and it works with a smartphone. Only problem is that Dad refuses to wear it.
@A myALZteam Member, You can also purchase a motion sensor, at places such a Harbor Freight (similar), which would wake you when she arises. This would also alert you to her just moving about the house, which at times can be dangerous too. Possibly both!
Australia, apparently the fit bit watches are funded. You just need an OT whom knows how to do this through NDIS.
Hi there, My Mom has just started gettting up in the night. A friend advised me to add a latch/ hook high up on the door where she woul.d not look. I have not tried it but seems simple enough. Just remember to do all the outside doors.
I have let all of our neighbors know about Mom's condition. Everyone has been great about watching for her if she gets out of the house. I have been sleeping on the couch to make sure that she doesn't get out the door when she is sleep walking. She is so afraid that she will lave the house when this is happening and it comforts her to see me there.
