Southern New Jersey Younger Onset / Early Stage Support Group
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

I'm looking for folks with younger onset early stage Alzheimer's in my south NJ Ocean County area who might be interested in attending a support group run by the Alzheimer's Association Greater NJ Chapter. We have a location in Bayville NJ we'll use. We're looking for facilitators now but we're also looking for attendees once we're up and running.

Contact me if you're interested.

How Do I Plan For The Future Transportation Needs Of My Husband And Myself?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

My husband was diagnosed in May 2018 with early onset Alzheimer's dementia, and in 2020 developed a seizure disorder, resulting in a spinal fracture. He is currently walking with a shuffling gait and some balance issues, but has not resumed use of the walker after recovering from the spinal fracture. He is fully incontinent and nearly non-verbal, and requires 24/7 care and assistance with all ADL's. I am trying to figure out if I need to purchase a vehicle that is equipped for a wheelchair.

How Do You Get Your LO To Go To Neurologist Or Get Scan When They Don’t Want To Go?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

Hub’s doctor finally agrees that he needs to see a neurologist for a MRI. He is resisting any exam or meds. Doctor wants to rule out several possibilities… basically FTL, early onset ALZ or tumor. So close to a dx and yet so far. Any advice from those who have been there?
