I believe I put her neurologist when it asked that and if you don't I would've but down his primary care physician hope this helps

My husband is diagnosed with moderate dementia. He has been taking Namanda and Aricept for 7 years. I know that 80% of people with dementia is a result of Alzheimers. I was under the impression that the only way to diagnose AD is through an autopsy. However I am in a support group now and I am told AD can be diagnosed by having a PET scan. I have noticed that many on my alz team state their loved ones have a diagnosis of AD. I AM CONFUSED.

Is this constant sleep, without drug change, a sign of the later symptoms of dementia. Just wondering.
It was with my late wife. Sleeping sometimes more than 14 hours a day.
The person was treated in the hospital for pneumonia and heart issues. She's back in the NH today. They weren't pro-active about her condition while in the NH. Didn't diagnose with Pneumonia at NH.
