Short Term Memory Failing Quickly

Short Term Memory Failing Quickly

My mom has been losing her short term memory for about a year now. After a petscan it showed no signs of alzheimers, then in the same breath the doctor said they aren't always accurate. She tests well on that 30 point test when she is at the neurologist (29 & 28 out of 30 the two times she took the test). Then at home she can't remember seeing my sister the day before when she was at her house for dinner and forgets things that happened a few hours before. She also doesn't… read more

Full Moon

Full Moon

Does anyone else notice a correlation between full moon and "acting out". In my specific case, it seems like whenever a full moon is a few days away, my husband starts packing, saying he's selling the house, divorcing me and moving out of town. Do You Find Alcohol Makes Dementia Worse?

Do You Find Alcohol Makes Dementia Worse?

We've been away recently and had a few drinks on the evening (hubby had no more than 3 pints) and 3 times each night he got up to get dressed, even though it was very dark (1.15am and 4.00am respectively) and couldn't understand why I was making him undress and get back into bed! He's done this twice more at home, not getting dressed, but shaving/cleaning teeth at odd hours and it has been dark!! We hadn't had a drink on one of the occasions either. He has had a shave… read more
