Ask your neurologist what he thinks of the change and what other new treatments could be useful.

Short Term Memory Failing Quickly
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

My mom has been losing her short term memory for about a year now. After a petscan it showed no signs of alzheimers, then in the same breath the doctor said they aren't always accurate. She tests well on that 30 point test when she is at the neurologist (29 & 28 out of 30 the two times she took the test). Then at home she can't remember seeing my sister the day before when she was at her house for dinner and forgets things that happened a few hours before. Do You Find Alcohol Makes Dementia Worse?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

We've been away recently and had a few drinks on the evening (hubby had no more than 3 pints) and 3 times each night he got up to get dressed, even though it was very dark (1.15am and 4.00am respectively) and couldn't understand why I was making him undress and get back into bed! He's done this twice more at home, not getting dressed, but shaving/cleaning teeth at odd hours and it has been dark!! We hadn't had a drink on one of the occasions either. He has had a shave shave/cleaned teeth at… read more

I think of alcohol as just another drug when it comes to the brain, since it has an effect on the brain. I don’t know if it would be safe to combine it with other medications. The non-alcoholic beers… read more
