79 years old; at home with me (and caregiver help). A fall in our driveway before Thanksgiving, broken femur, surgery, hospital stay, Skilled Nursing stay, and finally home - all have seriously affected cognition level. He no longer can walk. Does sundowning ever end as the disease progresses?
My mother has Dementia and my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's last summer. Is there a way to find out if I have early stage Dementia/Alzheimer's?

Just tonight she picked through her macaroni with meat sauce and picked out all the hamburg. Won't eat steak or pork chops. Says,she doesn't like meat anymore but I think its getting too hard for hercto swallow it. I give her a protein drink every day as a supplement.

My Mamma is 100% bedcare/bedridden. It pains her greatly to be rolled on her side for cleaning. It hurts me to have to do it to her, but I have to. I am one tiny person, and my back is paining me so it can be difficult to get her clean with one hand and holding her with the other to push her off her back. No, I cannot afford help. My dad seems to eating and eat and eat. Last Friday night, we went out for dinner. We ordered cheese sticks and pizza and got root beer.
My husband and I ate a few cheese sticks and a few pieces of pizza. There were two pieces of pizza leftover. We think he ate 4 hour pieces of pizza and 4 cheese sticks. He also had 3 glasses of root beer.
