I just started taking 5mg 6 weeks ago without any side effects
Doctor just prescribed moving up to 10mg for the next 6 weeks
That’s a good thing i presume
It’s great that you’re tolerating the medication so well😊
My husband’s new neurologist put him on a starting 5 mg dose of Aricept. He hasn’t taken it yet because he also prescribed an extra dose of Seroquel in the morning and I wanted to see how that affected him first. He has used the Exelon patch in the past but started to not let me put it in him so I had to stop. Thanks in advance for your help.
My wife has been giagnosed with early dementia and is taking exelon.
She sleeps over 16 hours a day and I am wondering is this is related to the meds.

Donepezil was prescribed for my husband who is in early stage AD. We started with 5 mg. and after 6 months increased it to 10mg. He took it at bedtime and never had an adverse reaction. With the increase to 10mg. he experienced nightmares and diarrhea. The doc said to stop all and start over with 5 for a month and take it in the morning. Now, it is time to increase it again but I'm not sure if that is a good idea. Anyone else have this problem with 10mg ?
My husband does alot of jerking at times when he is asleep. In fact my son-in-law described it as if he were "tazed". Is this normal for Alzheimers?

They sent us forms to fill out to appeal. It has about 4 options. One is go to the VA and one asks about our income and other hard-to-answer questions. I am trying to decide which option to take. I described it a little to my husband and he said I do not need that. Does anyone know whether it does any good… read more
