Has anyone had any good or bad effects from using this medication?
i take 30mg a day. i do have dry mouth and increase urination .no other problem. what else should i know about this drug?
My parents are new memory care residents. What types of activities are your loved ones involved in that are enjoyable and stimulating?
I am the caregiver for my 69 yr old husband who was diagnosed 5 yrs ago with Alzheimer’s. He still thinks he is capable of doing most things he could do before, which he is not. Dad is eating only about 25% of what he used to, and he's on a mechanical-soft diet. Since he isn't very active, he doesn't need to eat all that he used to, but eating is still something he can do (with help).
I think he has also reached the stage where foods don't always have a taste, but he still seems to enjoy sweets -- milkshakes and applesauce, for example.

For quite some time we have found that one dish meals work best, especially if they can be served in a bowl or my husband's plate with higher sides. Most important is that everything must be eaten with only one "utensil" - fork, spoon, or fingers. We are moving toward finger foods most of the time.
