Thanks. I also learned that if you have Alexa devices you can make announcements or converse via the Alexa app. I haven’t tried it yet, but it looks promising.

Ring cameras are easy to set up and use, some models are portable. There is a microphone feature where you can talk to/with the person in the room with the camera and that person doesn’t have to do anything to speak with you except talk. This was very helpful with my husband who could no longer use the remote or any devices

There are several helpful communication options that can work well for someone with Alzheimer's. Cell phones can be set up with voice activation for making calls and motion activation for answering calls, making it easier to stay in touch during short absences.

Here are some recommended features to look for:
• Voice-activated calling capabilities
• Motion-activated answering
• GPS tracking functionality
• SOS/emergency buttons
• Simple, easy-to-use interface For additional safety and peace of mind, consider devices like GPS-enabled smartwatches that combine communication and tracking features. These allow direct communication while also providing location updates. Some watches include an SOS button that enables immediate contact in emergencies.

Remember to discuss any tracking features with your healthcare provider to ensure they are appropriate for your situation and your wife's needs.
