My husband does this pretty often now. At first, I would try and get him to recognize me. Now I tell him that she (Anna) has walked down to our daughters, or that she is outside. It does no good to try and change it. It's easier to go along with them. At first, it hurt pretty bad. Now I just try to keep him happy.
