Yes, this is very common. Someone asked about her husband's body temperature a couple of days ago, but perhaps you didn't see my response, so here it is again:

It all has to do with the Limbic system. The Limbic System controls Autonomic functions like hunger, thirst, blood pressure, heart rate, and body temperature.

In our brains, the Temporal Lobes house much of the Limbic System, which includes the Hippocampus (plus the Amygdala, Thalamus, Hypothalamus, Basal ganglia, and Cingulate gyrus)… and of course Alzheimer's is correlated with atrophy of the Hippocampus, so it all goes hand-in-hand.
