Thank you. He was doing this some time ago but then he stopped for a
period of time and is now doing it again. I guess the best thing is for me not to worry.

John goes through phases when he sleeps and naps more. It seems to coincide with his mood. I just try to let him rest and be grateful we're both getting sleep at night and I get a few hours of the day to myself. MD's seem to think this is very common for ALZ.

It is quite common for a person with dementia, especially in the later stages, to spend a lot of their time sleeping – both during the day and night. This can sometimes be distressing for the person's family and friends, as they may worry that something is wrong.
