My brother, who is in memory care, lost his hearing aids 6 weeks ago. These were very expensive as he was a machinist and has profound hearing loss since he was 3 yrs old. Thank you. That sounds like it would be easier to do than "strap" them in. Gives us something to try
My hearing aids have a location tracker on my phone. You might put the tracker on your phone.
Mom lost her hearing aid and wedding ring. Moved her entire apartment and I still haven’t found them. She is starting to lose understanding, so not planning to replace either.
My husband lost his hearing aids years ago and we never found them the last time they were lost. Waste of money to replace them. So that is all for me
Hi LeeAnn, I am sorry that I can’t give you any info for the issue of loosing his hearing aids. All I can say is that my husband was also a machinist and has had at least 5 sets of hearing aids during his lifetime but never wore them faithfully. I have been told by his neurologist that is part of the problem with ending up with Alz. They miss out on so much by not hearing conversations and yet ARE STUBBORN ABOUT THE HEARING AIDS…. I know how frustrated you are especially since he is not under your care. I have experienced the temper also with reminding him to put them in daily.
Hopefully someone will give you some ideas that might work for you. Good luck and I hope you know we all admire you for your care of your brother.
