Members responded to a caregiver's urgent question about keeping hearing aids in her brother's ears while he lives in memory care, sharing creative and practical ideas to prevent loss. Several members suggested checking whether the hearing aids have a built-in location tracker that connects to a phone app, and one member described attaching a thin metal ball chain to earpieces so they could hang around the neck like a necklace if removed. A recurring theme was the shared heartbreak of lost hearing aids and the emotional toll of caregiving, with many members offering warm encouragement and solidarity.

Mom lost her hearing aid and wedding ring. Moved her entire apartment and I still haven’t found them. She is starting to lose understanding, so not planning to replace either.

My husband lost his hearing aids years ago and we never found them the last time they were lost. Waste of money to replace them. So that is all for me
