I try to just answer each time like it is the first. A lot of times mom will realize that she asked already and jokes she will ask again in a few minutes. Hubs doesn’t have her same sense of humor. Just blank stares until I respond or cusses under his breath. I think he is aware that he is having memory issues, but he is in denial.

It is upsetting to my wife if she is told she is repeating herself. I try to answer her as if her comment or question is new. Ya it’s frustrating but better to accept the frustration than upset her

I personally don't ever say that but that is just me. Either I would just answer or I would try to redirect the conversation if possible.
