After Having Ileostomy (colon Removed) - It Has Been 2 1/2 Years Since Husband Has Taken A Shower/bath. Has Dementia Symptoms.

He has no appetite, no personality, no spirit, spends a lot of day in recliner dosing. Dementia symptoms started three years ago and has escalated. Makes poor decisions, shuffles feet when walking, denies he has dementia, easily agitated.

You have yo get help in caring for him. This environment is bad for both of you. I have a similar situation so I know how horrible it can get. If you can get help with his care you’ll feel better and can them find ways to get the person to be more active. You can get advice from his doctor who can help you with diet, etc.
Take care of yourself!
