I don't even want to wake her to eat. Earlier, she wouldn't respond to me. I checked her blood pressure, it was good. I checked her sugar and it was high. Her phone rang and I looked to see that it was a telemarketer and put it down. She asked me who it was and told me to leave her alone. I gave her her diabetic med and she took it. She sleeps all day and most of the night.
There are days my husband sleeps most of the morning and I just let him. His eating is regular- actually he will make himself eggs 3-4 times a day - I do watch to be sure he turns the stove burner off! Some of his sleepiness, I think is related to a recent increase in his Seroquel. As long as basic care is getting done, I never wake Barry. He no longer mows daily like he did last yr, and while he still will take a walk or bike ride, they are short- but he needs activity, doesn't wander or get lost, so I am grateful!
It’s hard to say what the sleeping is, with James I almost felt relieved when he would sleep because I could check in on him. He would tell me sometimes that he was sleepy and just wanted to sleep so I let him. He wasn’t really eating much and I just let it be.
Jackie is having a sleepy day today. No point in waking her because she is fit for nothing when tired.
When David was home he slept a lot. He woke for lunch & dinner, but pretty much slept the rest of the day. At first I tried keeping him awake, but it didn't seem worth the fight. He is diabetic also.
I have bipolar, as well. Already on highest dose of serequel. Lamictal, cymbalta, xanax and effexer. Hbp, tachacardia, high cholestoral, rls. I used to b on 15 meds in am and 15 at night. The dr.s seem to treat symptoms, not the cause. Which then needs meds for side effects. So, i came off all, but the ones i listed. I have more energy and improved my memory. I checked with my dr. First. She was more than happy to help and agreed. Just cause theyre dr.s, doesnt mean theyre always right. U have the responsibility to do ur own research. U may be smarter than the dr. They r ur symtoms and u have the right to question ur dr.
