Paranoid delusions. My ex FIL saw people in his home and said they lived in the closet and were after his lottery winnings. Of course he had never played the lottery. He said he knew what he was saying made no sense but it was real to him.

My wife does the same kind of thing. At night when we're in bed she hears voices outside and asks me if I can hear them. She also thinks someone has a key to our house and is coming in and stealing her vitamins. And things like that. It comes with the territory. I usually don't argue with her but I do try and assure her no one has a key to the house. Paranoia seems to be common with Dementia/Alz.

My mother would see people. It never frightened her. I would ask her if she knew them, could she describe them, what are they doing. Mom also hid things, which was fine until I needed my wallet or my keys. Learn to stash things where you know they won't be moved. I found Ensure shakes in Mom's knitting cabinet last week.

I believe it's called wandering. Sometimes they do see others that have crossed over . My mother in law always had asked where did mom go and she had many years before her .

My mom is seeing people also. She was so upset. Dad called and she told me there was 2 girls at their house before they left and when she got home they were gone. She said she was so worried about them and she was looking everywhere. I ask her if they were her daughters? She said she didn’t think so.

So hard
