I think it’s blacking out. My husband had this happen while driving his truck. Somehow, during the blackout, he must have got stuck somewhere! Short story, is that the rubber in both back tires on his truck was completely wore down to a bunch of bits of rubber and wire!! He does not remember any of it, and can’t believe he damaged his truck! He was awake while driving, but blacked out at the same time ! He was very lucky not to have been hurt, or hurt anyone else!! The hospital took his drivers license after that!

Perhaps take him to his dr...sometimes there is seizure activity with Alz depending on which area of the brain is being destroyed and this sounds like petit mal seizures which is like pushing the pause button briefly...it could be dangerous if he was near traffic.

Syncope episodes maybe? My mom needed a
