At what stage of the disease are we looking at when my dad seems to be in a Zombie Mode. He just sits with his mouth open and stares off while family is over and conversations are going on.

My husband is same 72. Can not function with people even family members I think too much pressure for them to remember what they can't then anxiety sets in then shut down at least this is for Cary

Does he do the same thing when there are no extra people in the house? I don’t know what stage it would be considered. All behavior would have to be taken into consideration, and then it changes day by day, hour by hour!

I've found when there are to many conversations going on they can't compute it and they do zone out. Less is better

Oh he does not like to socialize at all anymore. He use to be the life of the party and go go go. Now he doesn't want to leave the house and when people come over he has anxiety anger prior to the arrival of guests

Diana, some days he can be like that. But mostly when there is a group. He can still say he doesn’t want to get together. And he does that a lot. He won’t hardly visit at all with any of the people that used to work for him. Only on the phone occasionally.
