Checking for depression is a good idea. Have you tried to accommodate her by letting her stay in bed? It might help your stress level if she is in her room (or a recliner). If she's content, maybe that would help? You could use the time to rest, relax, etc.

Changes in routine usually make my husband anxious and agitated. In the old days, we would be showered, dressed, and out the door by 7:00.

My husband, Scott, gets up at around 7:00 but promptly falls asleep in his recliner. I have become a night owl and sleep until 10 ish.

We sit around in our recliners watching TV or out on the back covered porch. We shower and dress eventually. All appointments are now scheduled for the afternoon.

It seems to me that Scott is declining rapidly. In retrospect, he had significant symptoms starting in 2014. He was diagnosed last May.

Scotty is dependent on me now. I want to do everything I can to make our journey as peaceful and pleasant as possible as I'm sure you do.

Hugs- Melissa

Have you taken her to the doctors to see if she may be depressed? There are medications to help.
