Emergency Evacuations

With the fires raging here in Califoria I am worried about what to do if we have to evacuate. We had a brush fire here that was put out quickly. The air is toxic from the fires in Northern California and Southern California

Thank you all for your support info. I went to our security office to let them know he has alz and may not understand an evac order. I also sent notice to our fire dept. I have a bag packed by the door with some clothes for him and his meds. Also a copy of his health insurance and contact numbers.

If you want the real advice you need, phone the authorities and tell them of your concerns. Then they will know your circumstances, you will probably be given priority, and you will have the RIGHT advice. Phone now, and ease your mind. I hope you never need it!!!

Rent a wheelchair if you don't want to buy one. I agree with FourthBird. :)

You may have to just physically move him by taking his hands or arms and hurry him along but I would hope they would tell you to leave way before it got to that point and not the last minute prays to all in California and stay on your toes leave if you think you will be in any danger even before they tell you if you feel you need to
