Exelon

Bloomfield Hills, MI

My wife has been giagnosed with early dementia and is taking exelon.
She sleeps over 16 hours a day and I am wondering is this is related to the meds.

@Exelon Welcome Exelon! This site is very helpful and encouraging. I have learned alot here and everyone has been very supportive.

Sleeping a lot can be due to some meds. Not sure about ALZ meds. How long ago was your wife diagnosed? At what stage would she be at? (For stages go to www.tamcummings.com & click on "stages" button on left.)

I know depression can also make one sleep alot. Be sure your wife gets to eat and drink enough. Not enough water, or dehydration can also cause confusion.

Again welcome, and I would like to hear more of your story. -Sharon
