Hi I just heard that there are utinsils available for people who have problems holding things ... like a spoon that will strap to your hand so you do not lose it. Good for people with shaking problems too. I was told to ask through the continuing cre services at health department (Canada)... Good luck... at least you can see that there is something out there... Maybe medical supply store?
I do a lot of finger size foods, the rest I cut really small and Mom seems better at using a spoon. they do have special utensils that are easier to handle, ask your health coordinator she may know where to get them. You could try children's cutlery, it is smaller and usually has a wider handle.
Request an occupational health assessment from your local social/mental health servicesteam, they will be able to advise/provide adapted cutlery; he may need assistance but it maintains a bit of his independence - good luck.
I started to watch Teepa Snow's videos, thanks for the tip!!
