How Often Do You Go And Visit Your Family In Their Facility?

A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭
Mount Dora, FL

I usually go once or twice a week. I have people who act like I'm neglecting my mom. I don't think I am . I have problems coping with this still my favor return after my visits are I get multiple migraines after a day with her and I try to visit for an hour or 2 and it turns into 10 hours at a time. I tell her I need to feed my babies or go home to my husband or store and she still digs claws in.

You can't waste time caring what other's think, we all react differently, they are not in YOUR shoes, frig everyone you look after you, don't forget to spend time with FRIENDS xoxooxox

When you arrive, let your mom know how long you can stay for your visit. Get a pocket calendar and put fake doctor appointments or school activities, hair cuts, etc on the days you visit. That way she knows what to expect. I have to do this with my husband because every time I see him he asks if I have come to take him home. Trial and error. He does better when I take grandkids because they get restless. He understands that. I hope this has been of some help. Be creative.

try going later in the day so it runs into the dinner/night time routine. it might help you to have a shorter visit and less headaches
