Other than getting a power of attorney and added onto the bank account what are some other things I need to do now while my mom is in her early stages of Alzheimer's? We plan on seeing either an estate or elder care lawyer real soon, what are some questions or concerns should I bring up?

Not sure where you live but in Ontario you need one for property ie: house banking etc.... And one for personal care, time will come when you will need to go over Medes to give them to just being in on medical appointments so you can hear. When an outside agency becomes involved have them contact you appointment times will be jumbled up and they will not make sense otherwise. Right down to end of life issues. But for any of this to become effective the Doctor will tell you when and you will need that in writing!

Also get a personal care power of attorney so you can make decisions medically!

Only see an Elder Attorney. They will help you the most. And know so much more than a general attorney. I wish I would have known that in my 86 yr old mothers early diagnoses of Demencia. Also, timing is of the Essenes. You can't get to one early enought. Hope this helps 😊
