If YOU want to do it, and if he's still in an early-enough Stage that you feel you'll be able to manage the trip with him, then go for it! It's important to keep making memories, even if the memories are just your own, for as long as you can. My hubby and I took a trip last month, and it was good overall, with only a few minor glitches. Be prepared to handle absolutely everything, though.
