My husband doesn't take the meds but I have noticed he is sleeping more. It is part of this terrible disease

When mom first started Aricept, she would fall asleep during the middle of the day while doing things. She did better after a few other med changes, but still likes to snooze frequently.

Hubby does like his dreams! Wakes up to tell me what he dreamt. But sometimes he gets confused like this am he said our dog Ella ate his breakfast in bed!

@A myALZteam Member the medications may make him sleep more. As the dementia progresses, the person will naturally sleep more as changes take place in the brain. My husband sleeps about 14 hours a day, although he's starting to wake up more during the night. He takes several naps during the day. I think of his sleep as a way he finds comfort and recharges.
