Has Anyone Loved Ones Turned The Lights On In The Middle Of The Night?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

Last night and another night, my dad has turned in the bathroom, hall lights and family room lights in the middle of the night. I heard my husband yell at my dad in the middle of the night. I heard my dad go back to his room and I went back to sleep. My husband still works so he didn't get much sleep last night because of this.

I told my dad not to turn the lights except the bathroom light on. He doesn't need to turn the family room light on go to the bathroom.

Does anyone know why they… read more

My wife likes the light on when she goes to bed so I put a little lamp on the night stand and leave it on until she falls asleep wich is usually 10.30 at night then I put a motion light in the bathroom so if she does get up in the middle of the night the light comes on as soon as the door starts to open other than that I've heard other people's lo do the same thing you're talking about so they switched over to motion sensors detection there a life saver plus I'm very blessed that my wife now sleeps the whole night thru

The above answers could be the cause, OR he is not seeing as well, since the brain is not processing what the retinas are transmitting..
He may need to have nightlight in his room and hall, besides the bathroom..

I found this article in the resources area of this website. Looks like it could be sundowners. It said something about not having a full day. Today was pretty full! I wanted to get more done but it didn't happen today. Looks like you shouldn't have a full day of activities. Yesterday, was a lazy relaxing day. Got showers and pretty lazy day. Today, was super busy. I need to watch that. But he actually did it when we had a slow relaxing day afterwards.

The article said if he gets too much activity. That day was actually a lazy day when he did this that night. The following day was a busy day. I have a different question going about lights. One person said they have auto on/off nightlights that go on and off at dusk and dawn. Looks like our Lowe's store has them. I'll be getting some this weekend. Wish he would tell me what's happening. I guess they really don't know what's happening either.

Thank you @A myALZteam Member!
