My Husband, With Altzheimers, Has A Colostomy Bag. Should He Get The Reversal?

I am his caregiver at home. Will his bowel control return? It has been a year, since he had surgery for diverticulis.( He had a AAA repair and a hernia repair after the diverticulitis) he does not understand what he has gone through. Will he regain control of his bowels?
