You haven't convinced yourself that you did the right thing...and youDO have a life! You show your love when you are there.

The heartbreak is difficult. My wife was in Hospice memory care during Covid. I couldn't see her for a month, then for only her last 6 days. Tell him you love him and are with him. Just love upon him and enjoy the time together. I needed to remind my wife who I was but there still was a bond between us. Now I focus on that and not the heartbreak and grief which was there.
