I just moved my mom into memory care a week ago. She had a very caring private caregiver before
On her first day at memory care she fell. They called and told me. However, a week later I had her previous caregiver go see her as we were in vacation and my mom had an ENORMOUS bruise completely covering her thigh. @A myALZteam Member: I don't know what state you're in, but every state has a long-term care Ombudsman office that can be contacted for help. I hope things get better.

I think that you have to just always stay aware of the care they are receiving and meeting with the director when you need changes. My mom has been in a care facility for five months now. I was so surprised that things that should happen don’t. Several meetings and befriending other involved family members for advice from there has made a difference .
