My husband doesn't believe me when I answer his questions...I also schedule the times he's available to mow a couple friends yards because I have to go with him and he says I'm trying to boss him and control everything..I tried to explain im trying to help so he can continue to do these things..then a heated argument ensues...one guy pays ahead for 3 mowings and I write down each time he mows but he thinks he's not getting paid ..I offered to call the guy and get paid each time and got yelled atā€¦ read more

If you know of something he really likes perhaps change the routine. He may start forgetting what he used to do. Perhaps music or music videos might help. My wife always enjoyed them into the last stages.

Maybe save the money if you can and give hubby 1/3 each week.

My husband gets mad when I try to help him. So frustrating. Today he bought an array of laxatives and stool softeners. I was concerned because the last time he had diarrhea he took a laxative. So I wanted to be sure he knew what the meds were for and understood what his problem is. He got mad at me.
I am tired of taking care of everything.

I can only say my husband doesnt mow anymore. He started missing rows and would get so tired he realized it was to much for him so know arguement when we hired his cousin who has a lawn care service to do it. Though now he forgets I always remind him hes coming. I learned to not argue and to just not say anything and do what Im going to do and let him do what he is going to do as long as he is safe and not hurting anyone. I also learned to not disagree with him outwardly but to find a way that is encouraging him to him. The word no left ny vocabulary. They dont comprehend anything you say at a certain stage, unless its what they want to hear for my husband it was stage five and because sundowning can showup anytime of the day that made it more difficult. I also had to listen to what he didnt say as well as what he did say because the words didnt come out right anymore. His neurologist gave him a mild antidepressant which helped trememdously with his anger and hostility. He even started asking for my help and would let me know in varoius ways when he was tired. Hang in there you will figure out what to do and how to do it šŸŒ¹šŸ˜Š

I understand . They lose their abilities little by little.. but they donā€™t accept the reality..my husband still mows but when it stops because of out of gas , he thinks it is time to buy new one ā€¦ you will know when the time comes to stop this.. maybe soon?
My husband has severe Aphasia and can not comprehend the words , he doesnā€™t watch most tv programs ..but he watches old movies which he already knows the stories. I subscribe Netflix and Amazon Prime video and picked up some movies he might like snd save them in ā€œmy listā€ and every morning while he is having breakfast , I go to his room and set it up for him. He became incontinent and we can not go out far , he watches same movies every day but he seems happy .
It is difficult how to entertain him every day . I adk him to help cleaning windows bevause he is tall . Or rake dead leaves .. he gets tired very quickly
Each one is diffetent , but I know you can find some thing he can do ..
but it gets old to think about it everyday. That is one of my difficult problems every day .
