My partner has several medical issues requiring regular doctors’ visits, but recently he just refuses to see even his favorite doctor with whom he had a great relationship for years. When asked why he just says “I don’t know”, his standard answer for every question.
Could the MD refer him for Visiting Nurse services so he could be seen at home?
Thanks, I never thought of that. Although he also refuses virtual visits.
Thank you, I appreciate your suggestion, but I have tried to explain he has to be seen in order to get his medication, with no luck. He also has MS, CIPD, and diabetes, so it’s important to receive medications. He even refuses a virtual visit. I’ve tried to tell him he would feel much better, but he is adamant and just shuts down when I bring it up.
Tough situation...sending support❤️
Hubs just got results of his chest scan. Doctor gave his opinions and every time I ask if hubs is going to take advice including consulting with a cardiologist, I get a “hell no” or he changes the subject. I know seeing neurologist is out of the question. I think he is in denial since he is the same age that his father died from a massive heart attack. At least he gets an annual checkup.
Mom doesn’t see a need in seeing specialists any more either, but PA keeps a pretty good eye on her at her facility.
