No one can tell me how long more he will have. Has anyone any insight. My husband had signs from 2013 and was diagnosed in 2015.

In the late stages of Alzheimer's, the patient will develop difficulty in eating and swallowing. The disease has destroyed the area of the brain that lets the patient know when they are hungry. So, the brain telling the patient, they are not hungry. My dad passed away due to Alzheimer's Dementia in 2015. When my dad got to this point of the disease, the nursing home had to puree his food to help him swallow his meals. A nurse had to feed and help him drink because my dad could not feed himself. There were times when my dad was refusing to eat. When that happened, the nursing home would call me, and I would go to the nursing home and convince my dad to eat. My dad would also begin to sleep a lot too. Alzheimer's shrinks the brain by destroying the neurons of the brain. It was painful for me to watch my dad slowly die, and that is what Alzheimer's is, a slow death., My thoughts and prayers are with you.
