How Can You Get Them To Wash Up
all I hear is no no and no and it is too cold Oh I washed up before so what do you do The hospice nurses can't even get him to take off his clothes
Cold is a big deal I think. My husband has become much colder since his AD. Maybe a small heater. I usually bribe my husband with going out somewhere, his favorite thing, but food could do as well I guess. Also maybe taking your shower or bath too. You might say would you like to go first or second? We both need to clean up for ________.
I sometimes my tell my husband he is stinkeroo. He mumbles about it, but will go along. Then I make over him with how nice he looks and smells. He cares about being stinky.
I had this struggle this morning with mom. I had to gently persuade her, but my dad said she hadn’t showered in 14 days. Use whatever you can but it’s usually a fear that causes this. My mom was afraid she would fall. Hope this helps, if he likes coffee let him enjoy is coffee during bath time.

I feel ya. So tiring. I am lucky ( do far) that my hubby is fairly cooperative but gives me a lot of guff.
We never know what behavior is yet to come. With a lot of luck maybe your husband will acquiesce at another point in time. Good luck
