Any Advice Greatly Appreciated
A myALZteam Member asked a question πŸ’

Dad is in a care facility, but a resident keeps punching him. The facility is not concerned and are not doing anything about it. Infact the management were not nice when i asked what they are doing about it.
What would you do, hes been in this place for about 5 years.

I would contact an attorney and have him/her send a directly worded letter to the chief operating officer of the facility pointing out the recurring abuse and stating that all legal actions under the law will be taken to prevent future abuse.

Would you be able to spend the day there and watch in the background? Then when you see the hit, say something to that person? I don't know, I am just guessing. My hubby isn't as far along as most of these posts but it scares me thinking it is coming down the road.

Absolutely, there is no acceptable excuse for someone hitting another resident. There is never a reason for a patient to be assaulted and I would consider reporting this to an attorney immediately.
