Psychiatry

Has anyone found Psychiatry helpful with the crying? Friday mom’s Neurologist wants to set up brain wave test. Doing paperwork she asked 7 times to go home. Don’t think she will sit for a hour todo test. Not sure how that will help in anyway besides make her more miserable

M husband takes anti-anxiety and ant-depression meds for the crying. They work very well at keeping his meltdowns under control.

I do not know anything about psychiatry tests. I do know that neurologists are notorious for requesting tests that put a lot of stress on ALZ patients for little benefit. My wife’s neurologist fit that description and I know that several other members of this community have similar reports.

Thank you both. I went to new Neurologist on Friday for crying. Feeling defeated he didn’t help with crying but referral to Psychiatrist. She’s already on Xanax twice a day. Zoloft and Seroquel. Wondered if Psychologist was one more step we all gotta do..
