How To Handle It When He Becomes Confused And Does Not Remember Something That Happened Earlier In The Day?
A myALZteam Member asked a question 💭

I had taken my husband to his Dr. for something wrong with his left foot big toe. When our son came over that evening, I told him about the Dr. visit. My husband said he didn't remember going anywhere that day. When I told him it was alright that he didn't remember , he became upset and said it wasn't O.K. How should I handle this in the future? This was not the first time it happened.

alicesister, try deflection. When your husband starts to get upset, take him to a window and ask if he saw the coyote that just ran through the yard (for example). Any rapid change to another subject that causes him to pause in his thinking might help.
